As part of our on-going review of safety and safeguarding, we have decided that our system of locking and unlocking gates requires some modification.
The gate from the Pavilion car park will remain key coded.
The top gate, which brings you down the path from the top of the field, will be locked soon after 9.00am and unlocked soon after 3.05pm.
The side gate onto the FP playground will also be locked soon after 9.00am and unlocked soon after 3.05pm.
We hope you understand that this system has been put in place to improve the safety of your children, preventing anyone from wandering onto the premises during the school day and pupils wandering off!
We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that when you bring your children to school in the morning, you should drop your children off at the door if they are in Foundation Phase and at the gate if they are in KS2. Parents in Early Years (Nursery and Reception) may continue to bring their children into the classroom, if they wish, but should remain in that area and leave by the same door.
Should you need to see a Teacher, Staff member or go to the Office, you should ask the adult at the door or the teacher on playground duty to get someone for you, whilst you wait for them. Alternatively come around to the front of the school to the Main Office to make an appointment, pass on a message or sign in as a Visitor.
At Breakfast Club, may we remind you that you should sign your child in at the door and only the children should come in to the Hall. Parents should not come into the Hall with their children as this is against our Safeguarding Policy.
As always, we appreciate your understanding and support with helping us maintain the safety of all the children in school.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
