A special moment to round off the end of the last day for year 6….
Practical Maths!
Decimal addition and subtraction represented using place value counters! This has helped children to understand the exact values of each decimal number.
KS2 Flight Conference Day 2!
Today year 6 visited the year 3 and 4 conferences. We have been so impressed with all classes presentations, everyone has worked so hard and learnt so much about flight.
Year 6 have learnt how to present to different audiences and developed some important life skills as a result of the conference.

Nant BH Day 2
Day two has been another busy but fun day. We started off the day with a hot cooked breakfast and got kitted up. Half of Year 6 have been gorge walking and high ropes, the other half have been mountain walking and on the high ropes to finish. Today we have all been pushed out of our comfort zones again and made some unforgettable memories, from drinking hot chocolate sitting on 'choc rock' in the Snowdonian mountains to launching ourselves off the zip line platform.
Now to enjoy a nice evening meal of fish and chips and a trip to the tuck shop before our journey home tomorrow!
Nant Day 1
We have had a busy first day at Nant, after arriving to a hot cooked lunch we started with a meeting with the centre staff and then made up all of our beds!
This afternoon, year 6 have been gorge walking and mountain walking. All children have really developed their resilience skills already by overcoming challenges and working together.
Tonight the children have demolished spaghetti Bolognese and garlic bread followed by chocolate sponge.
We are all now all settled down and lights out ready for another busy day tomorrow. Unfortunately, the Wifi at the centre is being very slow and so our photographs are still slowly uploading. We will add these as soon as possible.

Off to a flying start!
Year 6 have had an exciting start to the Spring term and have begun their new ‘inquiry’ into flight.
We have had lots of discussions about different things that fly and we have come up with lots of questions to further investigate during our inquiry process.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
