Do you know what your children are using online?

Do you really understand Minecraft, Snapchat and Instagram? Are you aware of the rules and regulations of different social media sites and Apps?

It is an ever changing world of online communication and social interaction that never stands still and there are growing dangers of online abuse, inappropriate images and messages and bullying!

We teach the children about the dangers and risks of the online world in school and educate them about the role they play in keeping themselves safe as well as the importance of how they interact with others online!

There are many different ways you can help your child stay safe and one of these is to have a good and open dialogue with your child about their online use.

Following a visit from the NSPCC to school to run a workshop for Parents, we were provided with 2 leaflets which support parents with working with their children to help keep them safe online. Please read and download the two booklets below which are full of valuable advice.

Net Aware is a partnership between O2 and the NSPCC to help parents keep up to date with this ever changing online world.

Net Aware is available as an app or direct website link and allows you to search for information about any App your child may use, either by name or even by icon. It will keep you aware of the latest social media sites children use.

Follow the link below to the NetAware A-Z, keep up to date and help keep your child safe in this digital world.
