At the Park.

We went to the park to learn about forces.  We learnt about pushes and pulls.  We found out which forces we had to use to make the park equipment work and have fun! We were really good at taking turns, sharing, communicating and solving problems.

Spring 2025 - Our new Inquiry is ‘Toy Time Travellers.’

We have enjoyed playing with our own toys. We have drawn and labelled them and described what they look like and how they work.  We have talked about how we would feel if we lost our favourite toy.  We have been very busy sorting the toys in lots of different ways and working together with a partner to record our sorting.

Spring 2025 - We started our new Inquiry with a Teddy Bears’ Picnic.

Wow! We have been very busy achieving all our Christmas activities.

Autumn term: Space

We have enjoyed learning through our Space topic. We learnt a poem ‘The Alien,’ with actions, and we annotated the poem to make it our own. We have completed lots of activities, including designing and making our own aliens, creating aliens in the dough, painting aliens, making spaceships and rockets in the construction area, counting and sorting in the water tray, making alien jelly, and of course, performing as aliens and stars in our production of ‘Christmas with the aliens!’

Last year, we made a connection with a school in St. Malo, Brittany, France for our younger children.

The children have been sharing photos of each other’s school and classrooms. We have discovered our differences but lots of similarities – such as this amazing book in our classes! We have been learning Welsh and French and made our own special books to share with each other!

We had an amazing time on our trip to Xplore in Wrexham. We were busy little scientists exploring the centre and learning about what life would be like in Space.
