Wild Ground
We’ve had our first of 3 sessions with a charity called Wild Ground who work to protect animals and habitats. We started to learn about different types of newt, life cycles and food chains. Naomi from Wild Ground will be working with us in 2 of our Forest School sessions in January.
Autumn Term 2024
Making Gingerbread
We’ve been working hard in Year 3 Owls to make gingerbread men to sell at the Christmas Fair. The children weighed the ingredients, made the dough, rolled it and cut out the shapes. After the gingerbread men had baked and cooled, the children decorated them with icing ready to sell. They also made posters to advertise the gingerbread men and ran the stall to sell them. We had a very successful Christmas Fair and were sold out by 4pm! Well done children - you were amazing!
Escape the Forest
We have been playing an escape the forest game today .
FOREST SCHOOL
Inquiry Project
We’ve had some unusual debris appear in school this week. We think it might have something to do with a spaceship so we’ve decided to investigate through a “Space” Inquiry Project. The children have had a thorough look at the items found, but were careful not to touch because we don’t know where they’re from. Hopefully we can learn a lot about space to find out what has been happening!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
