    Year 6 had fun taking part in the Easter egg hunt with their Robins buddies ��

    Over the last Inquiry Project the class have been learning all about the origins, development, production and distribution of chocolate products. The children have used everything that they've learned to create their own chocolate products, packaging and advertisement material. How professional do their end products look? ��

    Year 6 pupils investigated a selection of materials (cotton wool, bubble wrap, tin foil, cling film and cardboard) to see how well they kept a cup of hot chocolate warm. They used their measuring skills to create the cup covers, observed any changes in the liquid, timed the process, took accurate readings from the scale of the thermometer and made a record of their results. Next the class will be analysing and sharing the results!

    The class had lots of fun developing their coding skills by trialling some new equipment out!

    Tag Rugby festival- A great day playing lots of different schools and gaining lots of different skills, such as teamwork and good sportsmanship. Well done Year 5/6!

    St David's Day Celebrations ��������������

    Years 5 and 6 had a fabulous time competing in the gymnastics festival this week. Lots of medals and certificates all round...congratulations to you all ��

    Year 6 spent some time with our buddies from the Robins class and we collaborated on a digital art project. We helped the younger pupils with lots of ICT skills!

    During Safer Internet Day we looked at the importance of keeping ourselves safe online- The theme this year is "Too good to be true?"

    Mrs Sloan and some Year 11 students from Hawarden High School came in to teach Year 6 for a French lesson ����

    We visited Hawarden High School for an "Introduction to International Languages" morning. We took part in some really fun activities and learned some new language skills in Welsh, French and even Spanish! �������������� ���� ����

    Our Netball team excelled in the netball festival!

    Year 6 pupils have been building up their strength, co-ordination and flexibility with yoga lessons this Half Term.

    Design and technology- We have been using our maths & design skills to make some boats. 31/1/25

    Celebrating Chinese New Year with an online festival! We learnt all about the celebrations during the Spring festival, how to make Chinese New Year firecrackers and how to create intricate designs using Chinese paper cutting �� ���� ��

    Visit from PC Lee- It's your choice

    Our Spring Term Inquiry Project Immersion involved a very exciting video from a business man wondering if we would like to get involved in a new project about...chocolate! Our first task was to do a taste tasting session and collect some data for him! ��

    Frau Schuettler from Alun School in Mold came in to teach us a German lesson! We learnt the greetings, how to ask for and say our names and how to say the numbers up to 10 ����

    We spent some time introducing ourselves to our buddies from the Robins class

    Northop Hall CP held a MacMillan Coffee morning and we all raised an amazing £258.40! Thank you so much for the generous donations ��

    The class had their official 'Dragon Sports' Young Leader Training and they learnt some new games that they can now show to younger pupils...
