A New Curriculum For Wales
This is an exciting time for the young people of Wales. The New Curriculum for Wales will become statutory in September 2022. The curriculum is designed to give pupils the skills and motivation to become life long learners and to be able to adapt and apply their skills in an ever changing world.
Our School Vision
At Northop Hall School we want to support our pupils to be:
Self motivated, ambitious learners who are able to persevere, and cope in both times of success and in times of challenge.
Learners who are curious, ask questions, listen to the views of others and are able to use a range of sources and materials to make informed judgments.
Individuals who respect the rights and characteristics of others, who are inclusive in their thinking and are able to work collaboratively with others in a diverse society.
Learners who make progress in their academic skills and are able to apply these skills within a purposeful, broad and well balanced curriculum.
Individuals who enjoy opportunities to co-construct, take ownership and make choices in their learning.
Learners who are able to develop digital skills across the curriculum and to understand and be prepared for the opportunities and the risks which the online world presents.
Individuals who show commitment to the sustainability of the planet.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
