As part of the VE Day 80th Anniversary Celebrations, Year 5 & 6 pupils attended a service at the Village Memorial. The pupils sang songs and danced a waltz as the village choir sang "White Cliffs of Dover". Younger pupils attended the Chapel's "Luncheon Club" where they sang songs and chatted to local residents. Year 6 pupils also wrote letters to people who remembered VE Day and have received some informative letters back, they also had a visit from Mrs Bowen who came into school to answer their questions about what it was like to be a child during the war. Staff and pupils dressed up in 1940s style clothing and the day came to a close with a special after school event for pupils and parents.
