Let’s Play
We started our new topic ‘Let’s Play,’ by playing outside with our friends. We had lots of fun exploring the simple resources and using our creativity and imaginations to enjoy playing.
During one of our outdoor learning sessions, we taught the children some traditional ‘Playtime Games.’ This was so much fun and the teachers enjoyed it too!!!! 😁
Our ‘Let’s Play’ topic continued with a focus on the story ‘Stanley’s Stick.’ We have completed lots of activities based around this story and we have discovered that a stick can be ANYTHING!

Life Cycle of a Pumpkin by Year 1! 🎃
We went to visit Mrs Hinton’s allotment. We enjoyed the muddy walk there! At the allotment, Mrs Hinton talked about all the wonderful vegetables she is growing including carrots, potatoes, beetroot, onions, cabbages, broad beans and corn on the cob. We were very impressed with the huge pumpkin and courgette. The children enjoyed asking questions and learning about growing vegetables. Many thanks to Mrs Hinton for showing us her allotment and sharing her knowledge.
We have completed lots of activities and had lots of fun learning in the Outdoors!
