Following on from last year's Northop Hall Local Village Heroes community project the War Memorial has now been renovated.
There will be a series of events taking place in addition to the one Year 6 are contributing to on Friday 10th November from 10.30am.

Friday 3rd Nov 2017- 6.30pm - Northop Hall Torch-lit Walk
Meet at War Memorial at 6.30pm -The Walk will commence -up Village Road, down Brookside, into Brookside Crescent, back up to Village Road, on to The Ridgeway, back to Village Road, along Bryn Gwyn Lane, on to Fern Bank/Wepre Lane then back to War Memorial. Candles will then be lit for each of the 17 Servicemen who died in the Two World Wars. Plaques naming each serviceman will be tied to the garden gate where they were born or lived as we proceed along the walk. Candles to be lit at the end of the ceremony for each of the 17 Servicemen.
Sunday 5th Nov 2017 - 1.00pm - War Memorial- Re-dedication Ceremony
Multi denominational Service- Revs Balfour, Hodgins & Hainsworth & Fr Stewart
Children to plant Spring bulbs in new raised flower bed.
Ceremonial pouring of soil from Servicemens’ own home garden onto new raised flower bed (hopefully by current resident at the address).
RAF serviceman to read "They shall not grow old etc"
Closing prayers.
Following the ceremony there will be light refreshments served at the Pavilion and an exhibition about our "Village Heroes" will be displayed.
Friday 10th November – St Mary’s Church
10.30am Northop Hall CP School Year 6 children contribute to a service at St Mary's Church, Northop Hall
5pm -7pm the Exhibition will be open in St Mary's Church Northop Hall
Saturday 11th Nov
Exhibition open at St Mary's -10am - 4pm
Sunday 12th Nov
11am Short Service of Remembrance. Exhibition 10am - 1pm
Sunday 12th Nov
12.00 noon Service of Remembrance with Rev Hainsworth, British Legion representatives, Scouts & Cubs etc.
