We would like to remind you about our procedures in the event of the school being closed for weather such as heavy snow or other unforeseen circumstances such as heating or power failure. A post will be made on the Flintshire Website, Flintshire Twitter and on our own school website.
Parents can access the Flintshire website through http://www.flintshire.gov.uk/schoolclosures and the school website, www.northophallschool.co.uk . We will try to send an email via our School Comms system. You can also register with the Flintshire email notification system.
Every effort will always be made to keep the school open but in the event that teachers and support staff are unable to travel to school or conditions in or around the school are unsafe, the school may have to close.
Closure of school during the school day.
If for any reason the school needs to close suddenly during the school day, the school will follow the same procedure of using the county on-line reporting service. We will also send an email home through our School Comms system. Please try to avoid contacting the school by phone as this will block the phone lines.
We would like to assure you that the decision to close the school is not taken lightly. It is a difficult decision as no one can predict how quickly the snow will clear to make travelling to and from school safe for all school users.
Thank you for your understanding and support with whatever decision is made if that decision is actually required over the next few days or weeks ahead.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
