Once again we will be celebrating Roald Dahl Day on Wednesday 13th September, the author’s birthday. Throughout the day children will be carrying out work linked to one of Roald Dahl’s books and finding out about the author. We warmly invite pupils to dress up as a character from a book but there is no pressure to do so! Some children may prefer to bring in an object from one of the books or bring in one of their favourite Roald Dahl books. This year nursery & reception have decided to focus on the authors Janet & Allan Ahlberg rather than Roald Dahl. So on the same date (Wednesday 13^th September) please can pupils in Nursery and Reception either dress up as a character from an Ahlberg book or bring in an object from one of these books.

As always please think about footwear when children are coming to school dressed up as we want to avoid any unnecessary accidents!
