Keep up to date with all the latest news in school and on the website.
Having good attendance in school plays a key part in helping good progress for children.
We track the attendance of all pupils, but collect specific data to show on the website for whole classes over each week.
During the first week in school, Year 2 and Year 4 equalled the 100% attendance achieved by the Year 6 class.
For the following 3 weeks, Year 6 remained top of the Attendance data table, managing 99.3%, 99.3% and 100%.
Bendigedig Flwyddyn 6! Well done Year 6.
Which class will come out top next week?
It is now the time of year for Application for places in Reception classes for September 2018. Transition from Nursery to Reception at Northop Hall is a smooth one as your children are already familiar with the staff and Early Years setting within the school. We also welcome pupils joining us from other Nurseries or child care settings, wherever they may be.
Admission forms are available online at www.flintshire.gov.uk/schooladmissions from 2.10.17. Please note the closing date for applications is 24.11.17. You will be informed about your child's allocated place directly from Flintshire County Council by 16.04.17.
Please follow the link below for a copy of the letter from Flintshire County Council advising about how to apply online for a Reception class place for your child in September 2018.

Another action packed day at Nant BH. The children have been out Canoeing, Gorge Walking, testing themselves on the Ropes Course and, of course, zooming down the Zip Wire. Despite the wind and the rain, which blew through at different times of the day, we have all had a great time and everyone has shown fantastic perseverance, team work skills and support and understanding of each other. The evening was spent running around the centre grounds, doing a picture review quiz, then sorting out kit, visiting the gift shop and having some time in the games room.
Our time here is flying by and we can't believe we are heading home after lunch tomorrow (Friday) following our final activity of orienteering.
We all had a good night's sleep. Most asleep by 10.30pm, one or two quietly whispering a little longer. No one woke up too early and we're all just getting ourselves ready for cereal, toast and bacon for breakfast.
It's a bit wet here at the moment but it won't spoil our fun.
On Monday 11th September the new School Dinner Menu will begin.
The menu has many delicious looking new items, all nutritious and healthily balanced, and there are some old favourites there too.
A copy of the menu can be found in the Parents section, under School Dinners.
Once again we will be celebrating Roald Dahl Day on Wednesday 13th September, the author’s birthday. Throughout the day children will be carrying out work linked to one of Roald Dahl’s books and finding out about the author. We warmly invite pupils to dress up as a character from a book but there is no pressure to do so! Some children may prefer to bring in an object from one of the books or bring in one of their favourite Roald Dahl books. If you would like to find out more about Roald Dahl Day please look on the following website: www.roalddahl.com
This year nursery & reception have decided to focus on the authors Janet & Allan Ahlberg rather than Roald Dahl. So on the same date (Wednesday 13th September) please can pupils in Nursery and Reception either dress up as a character from an Ahlberg book or bring in an object from one of these books.
As always please think about footwear when children are coming to school dressed up as we want to avoid any unnecessary accidents!
Thank you in advance for your support with this special event.
